Our red thread
EigenDraads is established to raise awareness of the urgency for a solution for non-reusable used textiles and to start acting and trying out potential solutions, in Rotterdam and beyond. EigenDraads also helps public and private sector actors to determine and fulfil their role in the circular textile system.
EigenDraads is a collaboration between Hilde van Duijn and Remi Veldhoven. Two passionate entrepreneurs working together to realise their mission. They received financial support from the CityLab010 innovation programme of the City of Rotterdam, and operate from the circular ecosystem BlueCity.
From September 2020 until the beginning of 2021 the EigenDraads team will be supported by intern Floris Vogelpoel. Floris is a Communication and Multimedia Design student from the University of applied sciences in Rotterdam. Floris: “In my free time I enjoy drawing and photography, but since September I am also busy with my graduation project for EigenDraads. Besides getting coffee and tea for the team I am investing my time in the graduation assignment; finding out how Rotterdam citizens can handle their discarded textile in a circular way.
